Children’s Room & Lower Level Renovation Project

Thanks to our incredibly generous supporters, the Cary Library Foundation is delighted to announce we've reached our $750,000 fundraising goal for ChiRP! These funds are supporting the Library's current Children's Room and Lower Level Renovation project, which also is supported by municipal funding. The Foundation's substantial contribution to this major library renovation exemplifies the public/private partnership which has created and sustained the Library since its founding.

Maria Hastings Cary Legacy Society

Established in 2007, and named in honor of the Library's founder, the Maria Hastings Cary Legacy Society recognizes those who have provided for the Library in their estate plans.

In memoriam

Thanks to those who made Cary Memorial Library a philanthropic priority, as members of the Maria Hastings Cary Legacy Society. Their gifts enhance the Library's collections, technology, and programs, and enrich all the citizens of Lexington. Their foresight helps to sustain the Library for future generations in the spirit of Maria Hastings Cary's founding bequest.

Cary Library Foundation receives a record $700,000 bequest from the Estate of Maria Toscano!

Cary Library Endowment

Gifts to the Endowment help ensure the Library's future and make a lasting tribute. The initial gift is preserved in perpetuity and the investment income supports ongoing Library needs.
