ChiRP!
Children’s Room & Lower Level Renovation Project
We Did It!
Thanks to you, we did it! Thanks to our incredibly generous supporters, the Cary Library Foundation is delighted to announce we've reached our $750,000 fundraising goal for ChiRP! These funds will support the Library's upcoming Children's Room and Lower Level Renovation project, which also is supported by municipal funding. The Foundation's substantial contribution to this major library renovation exemplifies the public/private partnership which has created and sustained the Library since its founding.
Our community has demonstrated wide-spread support for this project, with hundreds of generous donations by both current and former residents of all ages, local businesses, and non-profit organizations. Single donations reflect a wide range, representing our community's exceptionally strong commitment to Cary Library. Thanks to everyone for their support!
Info
The Cary Library Foundation is raising $750,000 to help our Library renovate and transform the Children's Room and Large Meeting Room. This project will:
Create more flexible spaces in the Children's Room to accommodate the increased demand for children's programs and provide greater accessibility and safety.
Transform the Large Meeting Room to enable innovative cooking, science, and other creative programming designed for all ages through the addition of a demonstration kitchen, new technologies, and maker space storage.
Represent a public/private partnership with the Town of Lexington to fund the renovation of the library’s lower level.
